The 2011 Harmony of youth award was presented to Robbie Watson at the end of the training session on 2nd Decermber 2011.

The winner of the harmony of youth award is decided by the club instructors and is presented to the junior member who they believe has shown a good combination of attendance, conduct, enthusiasm and commitment for the previous year.

When presenting the award, assistant coach, Chris Moran, commented on Robbies excellent conduct throughout the year both at training sessions and competitions and his willingness to help and support other members of the club.

Robbie's aikido has really developed during 2011 and this was rewarded with his first competition wins at the Junior Open in July. Together with his partner, Cameron West, he secured a gold certificate in both Tanto and Ninindori together with a bronze in Basic Kata. Robbie also came away with a bronze certificate for Tanto Tai Sabaki and was in fact the first ever Wakefield club member to win a placing in this event. Robbie is pictured right collecting his Tanto Tai Sabaki certificate.

Robbie is seen by the coaches and other members as committed and hardworking, rarely missing a training session. This award is recognition for his hard work and dedication.

Well done Robbie!
